MPN-MATE RESEARCH FOUNDATION

Post by MPN-MATE Admin »

Great news everyone... :D

The newly formed, MPN-MATE RESEARCH FOUNDATION, is now officially an Australian Registered 'Not-For-Profit' Health Promotion Charity recognised to help fund research into MPNs that might eventually help provide a better Quality of Life (QoL) for all MPN afflicted people.

While it was a lot of 'Red Tape' to cut through to create this new vehicle, I am hopeful that having done so will now aid us in receiving better support to help fund our work to deliver better results for all people living with an MPN.

Anyone wishing to support our efforts can afford our modest Member's Fee of $AU10. pa. which will entitle you to having a voice about how we will ultimately go about our task of improving outcomes for people with an MPN, including assisting their families, friends or carers.

MATES Forum, will over time become more sophisticated and we will continue to work towards lobbying Australia's medical fraternity in the hope of seeing more MPN Specialists develop over time, as we all realise how important it can be to have the right people help us manage our MPN conditions...

Thank you & Welcome Aboard to all of you who have helped to make this Website & Health Promotion Charity a new MPN Reality in Australia...

Best wishes & stay strong...

Steven

Hey Steve,
Many congratulations from all of us on the setting up of the new Charity.
I am sure all of us with MPN’s are behind you all the way as we know how much hard work you have put in.
Wishing you the best of luck with both the Charity and your amazing ride, later in the year.

Best wishes
Katie

Thanks Katie... :D

Hopefully, we will all be successful with this small self-advocating group of people with an MPN...

It is really important I believe for all of us to do what we can towards making the MPN journey easier to come to terms with and also that everyone with an MPN knows that they are never alone when they need some extra support etc...

Hopefully, this is really just the beginning of that journey Katie and both you and Jerry have been instrumental in making this part of our venture a reality!

Thank you both so much guys...

Great news, Steve. Well done!
It would be good, when you get chance, to provide some more detailed information about the goals of the charity and the benefits of taking out membership.
How are your plans for your epic journey going and, importantly, how are you keeping health wise?
All the best.

Evening Allan... :D

Great to hear from you too... Also hoping that all's well in your world my friend...

Yes, you might not have had much of a chance yet to scour over the website? However, there are a few new pages constantly appearing now to reflect some of the changes now that we are an officially Registered Australian 'NFP' Health Promotion Charity...

Here are a couple of the links already up for you to have a read through:

Mission Strategy
https://www.mpn-mate.com/our-mission-2/

Membership
https://www.mpn-mate.com/membership/

Shortly. we will also launch a new page for MPNers who might wish to share their MPN Journey by writing a few words, (circa 1,000), and providing a small image to Post along with their experiences...

Still training hard. although getting the Foundation up & running has taken much of my time away from training... My Platelets are still making me struggle along with my anaemia... However, other than that I really cannot complain too much... ;-)

Allan, I hope you might also compose something for that new section... coming soon...

Best wishes Allan ...

Steve

PS. Always open to hearing suggestions too Allan... ? 8-)

PPS. The marketing barrage is building steam, and shortly we will have printed and Sponsorship Brochures for sending out to our very special corporates who might be supportive of our endeavours... Feel free to volunteer anyone who you think might interested... Can never have enough support & assistance Allan... :D

Nice work, Steve and team! How does one become a member and pay membership to go to the cause?
I'm sure it's all on your website somewhere but I'm being lazy. Sorry.

Cheers,
