International Day of Happiness

Good morning everyone. Hope you are all keeping well. Just wanted to wish you all a happy day on this International Day of Happiness. www.internationaldayofhappiness.net In a world where a lot of the news is on the darker side, I think it’s important to reach out with hope, love and positivity to our fellows and Mates. πŸ€—

On another positive note I have been participating in Daily Yoga this year - trying to keep some flexibility and tone in my body as time progresses. I’ve been using an app called Daily Yoga which offers a range of yoga sessions and meditations you can do at home whenever you choose. I find it easier as I can put aside 20 - 40 minutes (or less some days) in the mornings and it gives me a good start to the day. It also has a reminder feature to drink water which I have been trying to do more of and which is having a beneficial effect on my arthritis and IBS. https://www.dailyyoga.com/ πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈπŸŒΈ

Take care, sorry to be missing the catch-up as I am in WA,
Best wishes and kind regards, Merry πŸ’•πŸ˜

Hey Merry... :-D

Thanks for this very positive Post, & may I also wish you a very happy International Day of Happiness... :D

What a wonderful idea too... As you mention, there's certainly more than enough negativity out there to sink anybody's boat of happiness...

Thanks again, and thank you also for the Link to the Yoga App & website, I shall definetly be checking that out too...

Cheers Merry, & please don't forget, we will be having a special Cafe Catchup Day, whenever you fly into Sydney for your next visit...

Best wishes, stay safe, happy & well... 8-)

Steve

Hi Merry,

Thanks for your good wishes and your positive thoughts. We do indeed need some positivity in the world today. It was a lovely thought.

I too, practice a little bit of yoga and meditation which certainly helps with general stress. I have a cousin who is a Yoga Therapist in the UK and she kindly sends me a programme on Zoom every now and again. She tries to tailor it to my age and ability. I agree with you, yoga is a great help to anyone with an MPN who is not able to exercise at a gym or on a bike. The meditation side is very important too, as I am sure we are all anxious sometime during our lives.

You sound as if things are going well for you. I do hope so. I also hope we can meet up at a Coffee Catchup sometime in the near future.

Best wishes,
Katie
